Diamond ring for Jack Eichel to wear during NHL All-Star Game in Florida

Jack Eichhorn, who played with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers, will wear a diamond ring to wear at the All-Stars Game in Tampa.

The No. 23 jersey number on the back of Eich Horn’s jersey will be engraved with the word “All-Star,” as he was the last player in the NHL to do so.

The Penguins had the first player with the number to do it, when it was worn by Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin in 2011.

Eichhorn will also wear a Penguins commemorative jersey to wear, which he has worn on his wrist for the past few seasons.

The Penguins were eliminated from the playoffs this season and Eichhorns jersey is now worn by teammate and longtime linemate Evgeny Malkin.

He wore it in 2013 when he was traded to Pittsburgh and was one of the last players in the league to do the same during his career.

He also wears a No. 27 jersey, which was worn when he signed a four-year, $18 million deal with the Penguins in February 2014.

Eich is the first Penguins player to wear a jersey of the number in that capacity.

He is the fourth player in franchise history to wear the number, joining Sidney Crosby, Mario Lemieux and Mario Lemoore.

He joins former Penguins teammates and current members of the Los Angeles Kings, who wore the number as well.

The All-Pro center was traded from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles in 2016 and signed a five-year extension worth $70 million.

The deal included a $25 million cap hit, so he will have to be paid to wear that number for the next four years.

The NHL All Star Game will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 in Nashville.
